ANNUAL PARISH MEETING

Guest Speaker is Jon Mein
For the last 18 months or so, members of the Barkway Local History Group have been researching what effects the main road running through the village had on Barkway’s development in the c.1750-1900 period. With a fair wind the group’s book should be published later in October. Jon Mein, the project’s lead, will provide us with an overview of the aims of the project, some of the interesting sources which shed new light on our history and a few teasers about what they have found
Representatives from village organisations will be giving reports on their activities over the past year and plans for the forthcoming year.
Drinks with be served from 7.15pm
A light buffet with be provided in the interval
